Available Services, Rates and Fees

Initial Consultation

This meeting is required for all new clients and is provided at no charge.  The purpose of the consultation is to introduce the pet sitter to the client and the client's pets in the stress free environment of the client's home.   It also provides an opportunity to learn about your pet's needs and develop a personalized pet care plan, complete the client contract, pick up keys and payment.  Additional or follow-up meetings - $20.00 for a 30 minute session.  May be necessary if you've moved to a new residence or added a new pet to the household for example.

In-home Pet Sitting

During each visit Best Friend Petsitting will provide companionship, loving care and attention for your pets.  Also included:

• feeding and refreshing water bowls
  

• waste removal either during potty breaks/walks or scooping litter box
  

• administration of topical or oral medication
  

• bring in mail, newspapers or package deliveries
  

• water indoor or outdoor plants (may require an additional fee depending on time needed)
  

• take out or bring in trash and recycling receptacles
  

30 Minute Standard Visit

Rates:  $20.00 per day for 1 visit

            $30.00 per day for 2 visits

            $10.00 per day for each additional visit; i.e. $40.00 for 3 visits per day

45 Minute Extended Visit

Rates:  $25.00 per day for 1 visit

            $35.00 per day for 2 visits

            $10.00 per day for each additional visit; i.e. $45.00 for 3 visits per day

Overnights/House Sitting

Hours:  7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Rate:  $55.00/night

The perfect solution if you don't want your pet(s) to spend the night alone.   We'll stay at your house overnight which  provides an extra level of comfort and peace of mind.  The following is included:

• dinner and evening pet care routine
  

• lots of cuddling and playtime
  

• breakfast and morning routine
  

If a mid-day potty break is necessary the rate for an In-Home Pet Sitting Visit will apply.

This service is limited in availability and very popular among clients.  Make sure you book early.

Dog Walking

Rate:  $10.00/visit  for a 15 minute potty break - no walks included;

            $15.00/walk  for a 20 minute walk;

            $20.00/walk  for a 30 minute walk 

Dogs enjoy the mental stimulation and exercise of regular walks.  They help to break up the monotony and boredom of long days while owners are at work.

Dinner/Potty Break

Rate:  $17.00 for a 20 minute visit

If you have a late afternoon meeting, dinner or social engagement that prevents you from getting home at your usual time I'll feed your pet and, if necessary provide an outdoor break as well.  24 hour notification requested.

Miscellaneous Fees

Urgent Care

$10.00 Service Charge to clients who call for same day pet sitting service;  emergency situations may be exempt from the charge.

Key Pick-up and Drop Off

$5.00 fee each direction to go to client home or place of business to pick-up and/or drop off a key.

Pet Goods Purchase and Delivery

$10.00 Service Charge, plus the cost of the items, for the purchase of cat/dog food, medications, cat litter or other necessary supplies.  Price includes delivery to the client's home during a regularly scheduled pet sitting visit.

Cancellation Fee

A $25.00 fee will be charged for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pet sitting job.  Emergency situations may be exempt.

Unnecessary Visit Fee

If a client returns home earlier than expected, or leaves later than agreed upon without notifying Best Friend Petsitting resulting in unnecessary visits the client will be charged for those visits.
